You're famous! Seriously you are. I never thought you will be. When people asked me,
"What province are you from?" I often received this question wether a normal conversation with a newly found friend or someone you just met for a short chit chat. I would say,
"I'm from Aurora province."
"Quezon?"
"No, it's Aurora Province from region four(now part of region three)." Then I would start giving a short lesson of Philippine history and geography. You can't blame them because Aurora Province was actually part of Quezon Province before but it's been a long time since Aurora Province was separate from Quezon Province. And I was like "Seriously?! They don't know where exactly our province is located?"
Now, it's not. My mom kept on bragging about our province everytime we'll see each other once in the while. I remember how long was the travel time from Cubao. The turmoil of traveling for a long hour sitting. I'm not used to it. I just don't like it. Little by little, the infrastructure road project was finish. I'm so shock with the progress, I never complain now but I think I still will. I kept seeing a lot of vehicle now! Just wow! It became one of the tourist spot in the country.
Who would like our beach? When I was eight to fourteen years old. I'm pissed off everytime we'll go there every black saturday. The wave was so huge and some people die because of the unpredictable wave. My clothes would always have sand on it when we got home and it took a long time for that to remove from my clothes.
Who would thought they would develop the place and now, not just a local tourist but also foreign people visit the unknown place. Aurora now is proving its own identity. Now,
"What province are you from?"
"Aurora,"
"Baler?"
"Yes."

Aurora, you are famous now. They will never mistook you for Quezon. You have a lot to offer. Yes, it was a long ride but you'll give them a different experience. Even I raised and hail from this place I still haven't visit the entire tourist spot that my province is bragging to our visitor. I became a tourist to my own hometown and yes I am planning to end up my curiosity.
